Senior Nathaniel Avila and junior Christopher Caudillo, both representing Clovis High in California, took the top two spots in the boys varsity final at the Tri-River Athletic Conference championship meet at Woodward Park in Fresno. Avila clocked 15:22.on the 5-kilometer layout and Caudillo ran 15:24.88 for Clovis, which finished fourth overall with 74 points. Clovis North prevailed by a 57-63 margin over Clovis West to secure the team title.
