Junior Christopher Caudillo of Clovis Project Team won the boys 5-kilometer championship race at the inaugural Nike Cross Regionals California at Woodward Park in Fresno. Caudillo, also the Central Section Division 1 champion representing Clovis High, ran a personal-best 14:53.2 to improve on his sixth-place finish at the Division 1 state final in 14:59.2.
